Oral Medicine and Radiology is a specialized branch that deals with diseases of oral cavity and surrounding structures, oral manifestations of systemic diseases, oral diseases causing systemic infections and their diagnosis. This clinical department focuses on patient’s clinical history, examination, diagnosis, investigations, radiographic evaluation and dental management of lesions related to oral cavity. The department is well equipped with dental chairs, Radiovisography (RVG), Dental X-ray units and OPG machine.

This Program aims to train the students ardently to use basic diagnostic procedures and techniques useful in recognizing the disease of the oral and paraoral tissues of local and constitutional origin and their medical management.

Activities: The department has UG clinic and separate radiology section. The under graduate clinic has got fully fucntionl chairs as per norms. Final Year B.D.S and Third BDS students are trained to diagnose and plan treatment of diseases of oral and maxillo facial region.
