Oral Medicine, Diagnosis & Radiology
Oral medicine and radiology deals with study of oral and maxillofacial diseases, oral manifestations of systemic diseases, oral diseases causing systemic diseases, their diagnosis by modern scientific methods and their medical management. The department is situated in the ground floor near the main entrance with a clinical section, a radiology section, and record room and offices for the faculty. The department is well equipped with dental chairs, Radiovisography (RVG), Dental X-ray units, OPG machine, clinical lab incorporated for various investigations.

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
With an aim for providing surgical care at an affordable cost in the Oral & Maxillo Facial Surgery department is well equipped with instruments and materials required to carry out minor oral surgical procedures and all aspects of maxillofacial surgeries. Strict aseptic sterilization procedures are followed apart from using disposable stuff wherever possible as a safety measure for ourselves as well as our valuable patients. Efforts are made to routinely upgrade the equipment and keep abreast with advances in the field of oral & maxillofacial surgery.

The department of Prosthodontics is the largest floor wise and strength wise. The Department trains students from the first year of undergraduate course till the final year BDS and later on the interns. The department has a preclinical and a clinical wing. The preclinical wing comprises of dental material and preclinical prosthodontics laboratories along with a museum.

Conservative and Endodontics
The department of Conservative and endodontics aimed at producing clinically excellent Endodontists, future teachers and leaders in dentistry field. The department performs both conventional and surgical endodontics using the state-of-the-art technology with proficiency and excellence. The Department is having a strong team of dedicated and experienced faculty, all of whom are committed to excellence in education, patient care, scholarly activity, and research.
The department has a well-equipped pre-clinical lab with functional phantom lab catering to 60 students at a time.

The Department of Orthodontics and has been actively engaged in teaching and delivering quality treatment to patients in and around Nanded district. The Orthodontics department is committed towards developing an awareness regarding oral health in rural population in and around Nanded district. Orthodontics department goal is to deliver excellent treatment to the people in general and children in particular.

Pedodontics & preventive dentistry
The department of pedodontics and preventive dentistry is a specialty branch which teaches and practices dental treatment and preventive measures for children from birth through adolescent. It comprises of not only the treatment aspects, but also education, motivation and prevention of dental diseases including those with special healthcare needs. The ambience in the department is made child friendly and specially the doctors are trained to treat children with due care.

Periodontics is that branch of dentistry which deals with the study and treatment of diseases of the gingiva and supporting structures of the teeth. The department is well equipped with instruments and materials required to carry out routine periodontal care as well as specialized periodontal treatment. Efforts are made to routinely upgrade the equipment and keep abreast with advances in the field of Periodontics.

Oral Pathology
Oral pathology is the specialty of dentistry and pathology, which deals with the nature, identification and management of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial region. It is a science that investigates the causes, processes and effects of these diseases. The practice of oral pathology includes research, diagnosis of diseases using clinical, radiographic, microscopic, biochemical and other examinations, management of patients and forensic evaluations. Oral pathologists provide biopsy services for dental and medical professionals, and thus help in establishing a clinical diagnosis and treatment plan. The department is involved in teaching Undergraduate students of I BDS & III BDS in the subjects of Oral Anatomy & Histology and Oral Pathology & Microbiology respectively.

Public Health Dentistry
The mission of Department of Public Health Dentistry is to provide leadership and excellence in the field of dental health promotion and dental public health. A fundamental component of department’s mission is to provide excellence in teaching at undergraduate school level. Departmental teaching will focus on presentation of foundation knowledge and practical application to the practice of dentistry in solving community oral health problems.
